Hello From The Beautiful Hill Country of Austin, Texas,

 

My name is Cheryl and I was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I fell in love with Texas in 1994 when I was transferred from my medical job to Dallas, Texas for one year. I was fortunate enough to travel throughout much of Texas, but the one area I developed the greatest attachment to was the Austin, Texas Hill Country Area. During the years to follow, I went back to Wisconsin and raised my two wonderful sons, Brad and Nick Meier.

 

In 2000, I met my new husband, Scott, and when we were both ready to try marriage again, we tied the knot in Eagle River, Wisconsin. We made our home on Stormy Lake in Conover, Wisconsin for the next 7 years in what was lovingly called, "The Boys Camp", because of all the boy's friends coming to enjoy the lake activities. During those years we came to Austin, Texas for vacations in the winter months. My husband Scott also became attached to the Texas area during our many Harley rides through the Hill Country. This made our decision unanimous to eventually move to the Austin, Texas area. In February 2007, when the time was right, we decided to sell our lake home and venture to Texas.

 

 

April 2007 marked the closing of our new home in Wimberley, Texas, just south of Austin, Texas, where we moved in with our 3 dogs and 4 cats. We created a spot in our backyard for the "Boys Camp" sign  from the lake, so the kids will  feel right at home in Texas.

 

 

At the end of 2007 Scott and I rescued 3 small puppies and are now the proud owners of 5 dogs and 4 cats. My neighbor was kind enough to take one of the puppies. The puppies are growing every day and enjoying their new digs.

 

 

My oldest son Brad is married and living in the Madison area with his lovely wife Jacci and their 2 black labs, Toby and Tanner. They are both graduates of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Wisconsin and expecting their first child, our first grandchild,  this year. Nick, my youngest son, is preparing to go on to medical school in St. Louis, Missouri to become an anesthesiologist. He graduated pre-med from the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse, Wisconsin.

               

 

We are enjoying our new home in Wimberley, Texas and are excited to be residents of the Austin, Texas Hill Country Area. We look forward to friends and family coming to visit our "Little Bit of Heaven" we have found here in the Austin, Texas Hill Country Area.
